Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, we craft accessible, affordable, and cozy experiences that bring readers together in inspiring destinations.

OUR MISSION
At Novel Escapes, our mission is to create virtual and physical space where readers can unwind, connect, and explore, both on and off the page. From curated reading retreats across the USA, to a growing online community where introverts and extroverts alike can come together based on a shared love of literature to create new memories, we blend travel, books, and community to inspire creativity, rest, and joy.
OUR TEAM
Blake Amoroso
Founder & Lead Escape Artist
By day, Blake leads corporate social communications for a health tech giant. By night, Blake dreams of travel and stays up far too late reading. She received her CLIA certification, focusing on Disney and Universal travel planning in August of 2023. Since then, she's worked to apply her growing expertise in travel planning to her love of books and the community they help to create. In 2025, alongside the sound wisdom of her partner and friend Meg, Blake founded Novel Escapes LLC to help strengthen that community by offering carefully cultivated reading retreats to all.

Blake lives in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania with her husband, daughter and three furbabies. In addition to reading and travel, Blake is only mildly obsessed with Broadway musicals and all things Disney.
Meg Napolitan
Escape Artist
By day, Meg is a CPA and corporate senior tax manager, tackling the tricky stuff for her clients to help streamline their businesses and lives. A lifelong reader, Meg has experienced first-hand the profound impact that books (and the conversations they spark) can have on a person's life. She has cultivated and enjoyed a local and virtual community of readers that have inspired her to join forces with Blake, a fellow local book club member, to breathe life into their shared vision of expanding and nurturing that community of readers. She lends her passion and expertise to Novel Escapes to help perfectly curate reading retreats and spread joy.

Meg lives in Irwin, Pennsylvania with her massive German Shepherd lap dog, Luna. She is loves her family and friends beyond measure and is known to ALWAYS say yes to ice cream.
